The North Cyprus ministry of works, Today sent a strong warning to contractor Mr Robert Haskier Rutter handling RESTORATION OF GEN ONER APT that henceforth no amount of excuses for the delay in execution of project will be acceptable’. Mr Mehmet kukuk the supervisor for the government on the project handed down the warning when he paid an unscheduled inspection to the project sites in Lefkosa North Cyprus. while expressing disappointment at the pace of work on restoration of oner Apt, said excuses for non-performance by any contractor is not tenable. All efforts by the contractor of the project to justify the pace of work and to assure the supervisor of meeting the September 2020 deadline for completion proved abortive as the supervisor "Mehmet" expressed doubt on the contractor meeting the deadline at the pace of its work. The disappointed minister told the contractor: “Of all the projects being carried out in the state, this is the only project that is giving me concern. “I am not happy at the level of work on this site. “I cannot see any significant progress from the last time I paid a visit here. “I am really concerned. “I will not accept any excuse from any contractor who is feet dragging in delivery. “I will not take excuses if you will not meet deadline for project completion. He hereby issues a two weeks warning notice to the contractor Mr Rutter for the commencement of the project or face legal prosecution. Meanwhile Mr Rutter who abandoned the project for non payment workers and unavailability of materials is yet to make a public report regarding the delay of the project.
